Pattern formation:

Pattern formation is the development process by which cell different identity, depending on the relative special position with in embryo. Pattern formation ensure that tissue and organ devlop in the correct place and in proper orientation with in the body. The mechanism of pattern formation ensure that the particular cell type differentiate in the correct location with in the body. The mechanism of pattern formation ensure that the particular cell type differentiate in the correct location with in the embryo. At the same time it ensure that the layer of are grow in the correct and relative positions.

Mechanism:-

In developmental Biology pattern formation describe the mechanism by which initially equivalent cell in a developing tissue of an embryo complex form and function. Pattern formation evolved co-ordinate cell fate control which is genetically control. The basic step of developmental mechanism are:-

* Cell Autonomous Mechanism
*Inductive Mechanism
* Morphogenetic Mechanism

1) Cell Autonomous Mechanism:-

All cell follow same cellular behaviour i.e Mitosis with few exception. eggs are Heterogeneous which means different part of eggs contains different protein and gene produce. Nearly all-cell exhibit some kind of interval polarity causing gene products to be distributed into different daughter cell. This can be refered to as asymated mitosis and found in early cleavage of nematodes to as asymeted mitosis and found in early cleavage of nematodes & Anelides etc.
When cell divide if one of the daughter cell stop and reset it temporary dynamic then cell can aquire different state depending in their times of their mitosis.

2) Inductive Mechanism:-

Cell can affect each other by secreting diffusable molecules, by means of membrane bound molecules or by chemical coupling through gap junction due to inductive mechanism, tissue pattern change as a direct consequences of change in cell state. Many basic inductive mechanism appear to be base on Hierarchic genetic networks. Inductive mechanism also base on emergent genetic Network.

3) Morphogenetic Mechanism:-

A no. of patterning mechanism use cellular behavior other then signalling. This is a ko that change the relative arrangements of cell without affecting their state which are describe below:-

a) Directed Mitosis:-

Intracellular or extra cellular signal can be affected the direction of mitosis spindle.

b) Migration:-

In this process the cell can rearrange their relative positions by migration with out changing their state. Cell migration can be directional random but speeded up by chemo-kinesis or chemo taxes or Haptotaxis.

c) Apoptosis:-

One pattern can be transfer of cell can cause cellular sub population to short out into different groups.

d) Different Adhesive:-

Differential adhesive of cell can cause cellular sub population to show out into different groups.

e) Contraction:-

Contraction of tissue during development triggers shape change and determine the character of the morphological outcome.

f ) :-Matrix swelling, Deposition and loss:-

Change in pattern body may be accomplished by increase hydration, increase the amount of matrix separating the cell or matrix degradation.
